I had been trying to get tickets to see SNL for the past couple years, and this year it
finally happened. My tickets were for the show on November 15, hosted by Alec Baldwin (his
11th time) with musical guest Missy Elliott. Halfway up the Jersey Turnpike I realized that
I had actually forgotten to bring my digital camera. So I decided to buy a disposable camera
when my sister and I got to Manhattan since we had left early enough to allow time for dinner
and walking around a little bit. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the studio, but I
was able to sneak a few with the small camera I had just bought. They didn't turn out too
well, however. Then after the show we were able to meet and see a few of the cast members.
There's an area behind the back of the set just behind the top row of seats where you can
hang out for a little bit after the show, and some of the cast members show up. The first
picture is of cast member Amy Poehler (left) with husband Will Arnett (Arrested Development)
and other friends/family. The second picture has about the only picture of myself you will
find on my website. Next to me is cast member Kenan Thompson and my sister Katie. After that,
we went back down to the bottom of the building, and when we got off the elevator we saw
Mike Myers standing nearby with a few people around him. We wanted to get our picture taken
with him too, but there soon was a larger group of people there so Katie just said to him,
"Mike! Picture!" and he looked at her and she took the shot you see below. The other
pictures are shots I took around the city earlier in the night.
